The meteorological expertise of AerisWeather‘s forensics team was enlisted by local attorneys to help a Twin Cities’ Homeowner’s Association win a settlement from an insurance company who significantly undervalued a storm damage claim. A series of strong thunderstorms, many containing large hail and damaging winds, pummeled the Homeowner’s Association during the Spring of 2012. Numerous structures within the Association were damaged by these severe thunderstorms. Houston Flooding Houston, TX, saw massive flooding overnight as heavy rain fell over the city and a flash flood emergency was declared for parts of Harris and Fort Bend Counties. Numerous roads were underwater (at least 46 stretches of metro freeways according to Houston TranStar) and water rescues were reported. Corpus Christi, TX Thursday was a VERY wet day for Corpus Christi as 4.56″ of rain fell in nearly 1 hour from 4:15pm to 5:15pm. San Angelo Flooding; Slight Severe Threat; Winter Not Giving Up

Heavy Rain Continues San Angelo, TX, saw some major flash flooding last night. In just 45 minutes, the airport saw 2.99″ of rain – and 4.64″ in 90 minutes! 4.01″ fell before the end of the day, making yesterday the wettest May day in San Angelo history – and the 9th wettest day in history. It was another active weekend with strong to severe thunderstorms across the Central U.S..
