A few months ago, we expanded our weather alerting to include most of Europe, both within our AerisWeather API and AerisWeather Maps. Today we are announcing improved coverage and resolution for alerts over the United Kingdom! We achieve these improvements by integrated the alerts directly from the UK Met Office. Accessing the improved UK weather alerts is the same as before, simply query the alerts endpoint for locations within the United Kingdom. It’s been a busy few weeks with the public beta of the new conditions endpoint, improvements to the forecast API, and recent enhancements to the global radar map layer. We’re continuing this trend with significant upgrades to our alerts endpoint by adding support for European alerts and alert polygons! European Alerts Alerts across Europe are now part of our alerts API. We have integrated weather warnings from Meteoalarm into the API and they are now available for all AerisWeather API users. European alerts will also be added to the alerts layer within the AerisWeather Mapping Platform in the coming weeks....

We have released version 1.7.3 of the AerisWeather API to production that builds upon the recent Canadian weather alert additions and improved advisory support. We will highlight a few of these changes, though for the complete list of updates review the AerisWeather API release history.
