Account Executive

AerisWeather is seeking a technically savvy Account Executive to manage and grow existing business relationships with clients, as well as find and develop new business-to-business (BtoB) opportunities for weather data and mapping use cases.  The ideal Account Executive would be adept at working internally and externally with a variety of professionals, including engineering, product, marketing, and leadership to provide market feedback and, craft customer-specific solutions that define our unique value proposition in the marketplace.

AerisWeather empowers businesses worldwide by providing hyper-local weather data and imagery services. We interpret the weather in new and exciting ways that challenge the standard set forth by traditional weather companies. We ingest, analyze, transform and visualize data from an assortment of sources to produce the best and most in-depth weather products. Our engineering teams adhere to the motto “by developers, for developers”, creating extensive and unique datasets, APIs and toolkits to make working with weather data considerably easier for developers.


  • Take ownership of several industries to learn the businesses, roles, and opportunities that exist within each
  • Build BtoB sales plans for each owned industry
  • For new sale opportunities, prospect for new clients, respond to inbound requests, partake in sales meetings, and manage support requests
  • Once closed, proactively manage the customer lifecycle including on-boarding, adoption, and renewal
  • Establish a trusting relationship with clients (technology owners, product managers, and executives)
  • Analyze and monitor adoption and product utilization – alerting clients and leadership of any risk or general awareness based on trending metrics
  • Drive revenue growth through renewals with right-size, cross-sale, and up-sale opportunities
  • Strive for a high retention rate (low churn)
  • Develop a strong understanding of the customer’s business and use cases
  • Develop a network of champions within each account through education, coaching, and troubleshooting
  • Conduct business review to recap usage and to further engage the client
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Communicate and collaborate with AerisWeather Sales, Marketing, and Engineering teams to complete client goals and, to be the voice of the customer to provide visibility and/or escalations
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop client case studies & other marketing collateral


  • Documented record of exceeding goals (professionally)
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, Power Point, and other computer/document tools
  • API experience strongly desired
  • Tile Mapping Service experience strongly desired
  • General understanding or familiarity with popular development languages
  • Strong communicator in both presenting and writing
  • Highly consultative with savvy business acumen
  • Persistence to build relationships where none exist
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Technical aptitude and ability/desire to learn
  • Experience in Mobile or SaaS a plus
  • Salesforce & Zendesk experience a plus
  • Self-starter who can work independently, as well as collaborate with the sales, marketing, and engineering teams
  • Ability to travel and meet with potential clients
  • Must be fluent in English

Additional Considerations

  • 3+ years customer-facing account management experience in a SaaS or Technical company
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships, while working to mitigate churn and drive engagement, renewals & revenue growth
  • Empathetic, positive attitude with a desire to help our customers reach their goals
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or advertising and/or equivalent experience
