Frontend Software Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Frontend Developer to join our team to build engaging and delightful experiences for our web and mobile users. Your experience demonstrates your empathy for users, your focus on simplicity, your visual design sensibilities, and your modern, clean, and maintainable code. Ideally, you value experimentation, dare to try new things and strive to ensure that we are continuously raising our standard of engineering excellence by implementing best practices for coding, testing, and deployments. 


  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve rich web applications with a focus on user experience and quality
  • Convert UI/UX design documents and specifications into a functional application while promoting usability
  • Partake in UI/UX design reviews while providing and/or receiving constructive feedback
  • Follow an iterative process from prototype to implementation
  • Produce high-quality architecture and code


  • Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6/ES 2015), DOM, CSS/SASS, REST/JSON, performance optimization and unit/interface testing patterns
  • Ability to convert design documents and specifications into functional, modern, scalable and responsive applications with no loss in fidelity
  • Proven sense of design and commitment to the fundamentals of UI and UX design
  • Comfortable using build tools like Babel and Webpack
  • Work closely with our design and product management teams
  • Self-motivated, curious, responsible, and passionate about building and delivering high-quality products
  • Four or more years of related experience with full stack software development in a test driven, agile environment
  • Solid portfolio or work samples demonstrating your frontend design and development skills, including typography, color, imagery, animation and graphic components
  • Experience with Typescript, NodeJS, ReactJS, and Emotion are a plus
  • Experience with NextJS, WebGL, GLSL and/or ThreeJS are a plus

Additional Considerations

  • Exposure to Cloud services (AWS) and microservice architecture
  • Familiarity or experience with UI prototyping methods using tools such as Framer and Figma
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), such as Expression Engine, Webflow or Prismic, etc
  • Interest in weather and weather-related technologies
