.A weather pattern conducive for large fire growth will continue through Wednesday as a broad trough remains over the western United States keeping the flow over New Mexico dry and windy. The strongest winds are forecast over northern areas and the central mountains and highlands Tuesday, then along and east of the central mountain chain again Wednesday. Most lower elevation locations east of the continental divide will experience between 5 and 10 hours of single digit relative humidity values on Tuesday.

* AREA AND TIMING...Northeast and East central Plains (Zones 104 and 126), Sangre de Cristo and Sandia/Manzano Mountains (Zones 122 and 124), and the Central and Northeast Highlands (Zones 13 and 125) Tuesday from 10 AM until 9 PM, and Wednesday from 11 AM until 8 PM.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...For Tuesday, west and southwest 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph, except around 60 mph in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and Northeast Highlands. For Wednesday, west and northwest 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values between 5 and 10 percent each day.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH MONDAY FROM 11 AM UNTIL 10 PM ALONG AND EAST OF THE NORTH CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AND MIDDLE RIO GRANDE VALLEY, AND FROM 3 PM UNTIL 10 PM FOR AREAS FARTHER WEST, DUE TO STRONG WIND AND LOW HUMIDITY...

.A weather pattern conducive for large fire growth will develop Sunday and continue through Wednesday as a broad trough develops over the western United States keeping the flow over New Mexico dry and windy. The strongest winds and critically low relative humidity values Sunday will favor the central mountain chain and northeast highlands westward. Then, relative humidity plummets over eastern areas as well on Monday. Winds will strengthen over central and eastern areas late Monday morning, but not until mid afternoon farther west.

* AREA AND TIMING...Northeast Highlands (Zones 123) from noon until 10 PM MDT Sunday, and from 11 AM until 10 PM Monday.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...On Sunday, south and southwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph. On Monday, southwest and west 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...On Sunday, 13 to 18 percent. On Monday, 6 to 10 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
