* Affected Area...Fire Weather Zone 274 Southern Mono County, Fire Weather Zone 421 Southern Sierra Front including Alpine, Northern Mono, Southern Lyon, and Western Mineral Counties, Fire Weather Zone 423 West Humboldt Basin in Pershing County and Fire Weather Zone 429 Lahontan Basin including Churchill and Eastern Mineral Counties.

* Winds...On Wednesday, west to southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 30 mph or more.

* Humidity...On Wednesday, 8-15%.

* Duration...On Wednesday, 3 to 6 hours of critical conditions.

* Impacts...The combination of gusty winds and low humidity can cause fire to rapidly grow in size and intensity before first responders can contain them.

* WHAT...West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph and waves 2 to 4 feet for Pyramid Lake.

* WHERE...Western Nevada Basin and Range including Pyramid Lake.

* WHEN...From 11 AM to 8 PM PDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions improve.
